1.  Personally identifiable information we process is provided to us directly by you when you submit a comment to one of our blog posts. The information is submitted via a comments platform called Cusdis which we self-host alongside this website at Vercel.

If you submit a comment that includes personal information then you have provided your consent for us to process that information. The name you provide and comment text will be publicly displayed on the website. Submission of an e-mail address is optional and the name that you use can be an internet pseudonym.

2.  For complete transparency, we also collect fully anonymous website analytics. These are collected using an analytics tool called Umami that we self-host alongside this website at Vercel. No personally identifiable information is collected and no cookies are used. Anonymous analytics are used to determine which subject topics are the most popular and if anyone is actually reading what has been written.

How we store your personal information

1. Personal information collected through Cusdis, our commenting platform, is stored in a secure database. This database is used solely for our commenting platform and the information will be kept for as long as this website is online or until the commenting platform is removed or changed. The database will be deleted once it is no longer in use.

2. The anonymous website analytics collected through Umami, our analytics tool, are stored in a secure database. This database is used solely for our analytics and the information will be kept for as long as this website is online or until the analytics tool is removed or changed. The database will be deleted once it is no longer in use.
